YWCA South Florida Selected for Innovation Grant

We are thrilled to share that YWCA South Florida is among 21 organizations selected by The Children’s Trust innovation fund to pilot new discoveries and programs. Collectively through this round, the Trust invested $1.6 million among the organization.

YWCA South Florida will utilize this opportunity to advance HER Miami, an emerging initiative which aims to bridge the gap between economic opportunities and women-led households, focused around opportunity, community and support. Over the next year, the YWCA will connect with women and families through focus groups, surveys, and discussions to identify obstacles and gaps in resources. These findings will be compiled into a guide for resource providers to apply a gender-focused approach to their practices. The project will explore using tools like artificial intelligence to enhance the platform and develop a plan for its long-term success.

YWCA is honored to be part of this incredible opportunity to boost our community's economic mobility and create a more equitable future for all women and families.
