YWCA South Florida welcomes new chief financial officer

Miami, Fla. – YWCA South Florida has announced the addition of a new chief financial officer (CFO), Amyn Merchant. This strategic hire is the latest move in the organization’s ongoing commitment to establishing a leadership team that will bolster its efforts in the community and the successful operations of the chapter at large.Merchant brings a wealth of experience, having spent 16 years in pivotal finance, resource development and fundraising roles for the Aga Khan Academies, a key initiative of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and served as founding CFO at the Aga Khan Academies, where he played a crucial role in developing a sustainable business and financial model for the global network."We are excited to welcome Amyn Merchant as our new CFO,” shared YWCA South Florida president and CEO Kerry-Ann Royes. “His extensive international experience and strategic mindset will be instrumental in driving our back office excellence and financial strategies as we continue to grow and advance our mission." Merchant will spearhead the organization’s finance division and lead the agency to meet the emerging needs required by substantial projected growth over the next three to five years.
