The Thrive305 Action Plan, our county's priorities built by and for the community, has arrived!

Government works best when it is driven by those it serves. That is why we are proud to share that after months of civic and community engagement, input, and collaboration, the Thrive305 Action Plan has finally arrived! Built for community, by the community, the Action Plan is a roadmap, with clear actions and priorities, for a thriving Miami-Dade County. On Thursday, November 4, we congratulated the Office of Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava for reaching this milestone. Thrive305 was the largest public engagement initiative in Miami-Dade County government history and was a tremendous show of community leadership. The actions and priorities outlined in the Thrive305 Action Plan, grounded in community, will be used in decision-making for years to come and we are excited to see and be a part of the impact. Read the Action Plan and stay up-to-date on the Thrive305 initiative at: thrive305.org.YWCA South Florida's president/CEO Kerry-Ann Royes, was in attendance to congratulate Mayor Cava with a speech."YWCA South Florida pledges to eliminate racism and empower women. That’s why I am honored today to participate in the launch of the Thrive 305 Action plan, on behalf of the women and girls we serve and the people of this amazingly diverse county. We wake up every day to do this work because we believe the voices of women, girls, and people of color should show up equally and powerfully. We at YWCA immediately knew that Thrive 305 was new and unique due to its effort to genuinely engage all the voices in our County Hall. I have a call to action to all my civic partner colleagues that are here in person this morning or listening over the live stream. I believe, today is another beginning.. we need to continue our partnership with our Mayor, our Board of County Commissioners, our community funders to move this work forward. Let Thrive305 be the new normal in our community’s future: where county government, our non-profits, our business community, our philanthropic partners come together to build the Miami-Dade County we deserve for all our residents. Thank you all for your participation… and YWCA looks forward to continuing our work together."
